The article lists the main benefits and disadvantages of two choices in education the Deaf and hard of hearing children/students: (1) education in mainstream schools and (2) education in schools specialized in the education of children/students with hearing impairments. The article includes a graph showing numbers of Deaf and hard of hearing children/student educated in these two types of schools (at pre-primary level in kindergarten, at primary level and at secondary level) in the period from 2003/2004 to 2011/2012.
