Albert E. – the „famous“ rector of Prague University. Short Meditation about the Possibility how to Identify Outstanding Personalities, especially the Medieval

Abstract

Albert Engelschalk of Straubing, the German from Bavaria, graduated from the Prague university where he later was Magister of the arts fakulty, became its dean and rector of whole university. His fame of European level avised from the erroneous atribution of Speculum aureum to his as author.

We don´t know, where and when Albert died. The article recapitulates various indefinite facts connected with Albert´s life and work.
