The chapter is based on the socio- ecological approach. It points to the need of comprehensive , interdisciplinary and team approach in the evaluation of the child's situation.
It provides an overview of the needs , the fulfillment of which is to be assessed. It deals with a risk and protective factors in a child's life and family.
