Abstract

Based on the analysis of Miloš Hlávka´s diary notes, original poetry and journalistic texts and also on archival material of the security forces, the study attempts to uncover the circumstances that led or could have led to Hlávka´s (the protectorate chief of National Theatre drama) being labeled a collaborator. It examines developments in the National Theatre during the German occupation and the role which Hlávka may have played in shaping the artistic activities in National Theatre during the protectorate.

Based on the analyzed materials, the study concludes that no direct or indirect collaboration can be proved.
