The present study concerns the Bohemian local hymns which might have been used in Silesia during the Middle Ages. Author is focused on the hymns to Czech patron saints Wenceslas and Procopius.
Although the hymn to the first mentioned saint occurs in many Silesian sources, the hymn to St Procopius does not appear in any manuscript in Poland. Absence of the hymn to St Procopius in Silesian manuscripts excludes the hypothesis expressed by Robert Snow, that The Strahov Codex, which contains the polyphonic setting to this Bohemian saint, was compiled in Silesia.
