The paper is an attempt to compare Jiří Kolář and Tadeusz Różewicz work in the context of the secondary witnessing of the Holocaust. Poetics of testimony and its conceptualisation is permanent in Jiří Kolář; the topic of the Holocaust and its post-memory is particularly important in two of his books: Černá lyra and Promethéova játra.
For Różewicz the Holocaust become a key topic after 1990, especially for his poem Nożyk profesora (Professor's Little Knife). I examine here verbal, literary testimony, as well as its visual form.
