Abstract

In the case study we report a patient with advanced disease, which did not allow to use the normal technique in which blood oxygen saturation provides one ventilated lung, thus requiring the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). According to available information, this is the first whole lung lavage with ECMO support in the country.
