In the paper, the author presents his arguments for diversified approach to solving digital divide issue accross the various socio-technical environments. The paper starts with introducing contemporary groundings of the link between ICT usage and better quality of life on both theoretical and empirical level.
After pinpointing the inner inconsistency of the currently dominant model of digital divide, the alternative model to solving digital divide is presented. In the concluding part,the author thinks through the consequences of the model for both low-tech and high-tech social environments.
