Abstract

The article summarizes biomechanical and neurophysiological knowledge about motion oriented to resistance training. The review of literature indicted that motion with the most prominent sensory stimulus from the locomotor system is the work in isometric contraction, where a part of muscles works in a concentric way and another part in the exocentric one.

On possibility of using these principles is sc. friction training by the FLOWIN? system. An analysis of motion mechanism on FLOWIN? refers to a combined use of advantages of work in the open and closed kinematic chain, described in detail in the paper.

The article finally summarized general clinical experience with application of this remedy at the hospital and outpatient wards of rehabilitation and refers to possibilities of the use in therapy of some patients with neurological or orthopedic deficits.
