Russian-Czech Interferencies in Czech Speech of the Russian-speaking Inhabitants of Prague (the Lexicological Perspective)

Abstract

The report presents the preliminary results of the grant project Second Language Accuisition of Russian Speakers in the Czech-speaking Surrounding in Comparison with the German-speaking one. The main attention is paid to the theory and the practical analyse of the interferencies in the field of lexis.

Combining the data of comparative Russian-Czech studies with the results of the field research in Prague enables us to specify the potential and real interferencies. It provides a deeper insight into nature of language processes on the border of the two closely related languages, as well as it helps us to find out the share of interlanguage transfere in the total amount of mistakes.

The research is supplemented with the sociolinguistic profile of Russian diaspora in Czech Republic.
