Abstract
The paper deals with another cause of discontent of the nomads - fear of animals. It maps the attitudes to beasts of prey, snakes, birds, fish and cattle as recorded during fieldwork in Mongolia as an aspect of traditional Mongolian ethno-pedagogy.
