Databases in the Information Age and their Legal Protection

Abstract

The publication presents theoretical background and insight into the legal protection of databases. The author has used analytical and comparative methods for this purpose, analysing the legal protection de lege lata on the examples of the continental and common law, supplemented by a historical overview of Directive 96/9 a analysis of case law.
