Abstract
Afterword to the translation of Blackwater, a novel of the Swedish novelist Kerstin Ekman analyzing the magic-realistic roots of the author´s narration. The study traces mysticism and myths, namely matriarchal, that create a deeper structure of the realistic narrative of the novel, commonly taken for a detective story.
