Innovative learning activities for developing 21st century skills

Abstract

This paper deals with the issue of innovation in education. The first part of the paper focuses on developing 21st century skills for pupils – using the tool 21st Century Learning Design.

The second part is devoted to assessment of educational innovation, it deals with the Framework Mapping of ICT - enabled Innovation for Learning). The example of successful activity eTwinning is described in this part.

The largest, the third part describes ten innovative teaching activities and tools, which by their nature are aimed at achieving the educational objectives of the highest levels of Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives. This is a podcasting , digital storytelling, lip dub , geocaching , action on- line research, education wiki, eTwinning, timelines, measurement smartphones, modelling and simulation.
