Abstract
We quantified the tissue reaction on bioengineered scaffolds implanted into bone, cartilage, and abdominal wall in pig and rabbits. The formation of bone tissue, formation of connective tissue scars, type I collagen, and differentiation of hyaline cartilage has been assessed in experimental groups of animals using stereological techniques.
