Abstract
This paper summarises the principal research directions as presented by leading researchers during the Jubilee 12th Congress of the Association Intérnationale des Études Arméniennes in Budapest in October 2011 (30 years subsequent to the foundation of the Association). In addition, the author briefly includes an account of his own research in Prague, as presented at the Congress, focusing on St.
Gregory of Narek’s ode Hawun-hawun, and incorporating theological, philological and musicological aspects – with an emphasis on a thorough analysis of the neumations found in the earliest manuscript sources.
