Publication at Faculty of Law |
2014

Abstract

The main goal of this publication is to present the development of the compatriots issue in Central Europe. In this meaning Central Europe includes the so-called Visegrad part of this region: the territory of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

The monograph is dealing with the Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Slovak compatriots living abroad and with their relationships with kin-states. The book is not covering all aspects of this complicated problem, but it is dealing only with the legal and administrative aspects of the issue of compatriots.

It analyses the process of establishing the legislation of compatriots and also its development. The main goal of this legislation is the kinstate support for the compatriots communities living abroad.
