The paper describes the impact of the economic crises in the 30's of the 20th century on the social status of glass craftsmen in the region of Železný Brod and Jablonec nad Nisou. This status was determined the laws and government regulations issued after the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic, in the 20's and in the first half of the 30's (in particular their application in practice).
The paper focuses on the problem of violations of statutory provisions contained in these laws and government regulations due to the economic crisis. This article analyzes the actual conditions in glass production in the region of Železný Brod and Jablonec nad Nisou during the 20's and 30's of the 20th century.
