Conceptual Frameworks in the Theory and Practise of Public Policy

Publication |
2014

Abstract

The contribution presents conceptual frame as a tool for facilitating holistic approach to analysis - and sometimes, to conditional forecasting - of social processes. Hence it necessarily transcends the borders of partial disciplinary perspectives.

It deals with it definiton in Tondl's and Ostrom's work. Subsequently, three instances of it application are presented, in which the author himself was implicatedd: teleonomic interpretative scheme, cultivation and application of human potential in the reproduction of society, and the model of development of Czech society and its modernization in global context.

Based on these examples, the conclusion offers an extended analysis of conceptual frame's functions in the theory and practise of relatively recently established social science - public policy.
