Abstract

This article is a third part of the series focused on the life and works of Rabbi Moshe Hayim Luzzatto (1707–1746; has been known under the acronym RaMHaL), one of the greatest Jewish thinkers. This part brings the translation of one section from Luzzatto’s religious philosophical¨treatise Da’at tevunot (i.e.

Perceiving Knowledge; or Knowing the Understanding; usually translated as: Knowing Heart), which is written as a dialogue between soul and Reason.
