Abstract
Chapter "New artistic styles - Realism and Impressionism" deals with the new artistic styles that developed in the second half of the nineteenth century in France. Chapter "Art that does not refect the nation is nothing" concetrates on the Czech art during so called Nation Revival in the second half of ninetheenth century when the national patriotism in art played a key role.
