Abstract
On the example of the life stories of the exile Václav Pelargus this chapter shows the wider context of post-White Mountain Saxon exile. It tries to show that persons, who were familiar with the practices of early-modern towns'administrative, had bigger opportunity for full integration into Saxon millieu.
Those practices gave them the ability to communicate in German and to mingle with different types of documents, which were very useful in communication with Saxon byrocracy. In addition members of city councils had experience with establishing of formal and informal unions from which they benefited during the integration.
