Abstract

Introduction: Gastric cancer rank among the malignant disease in human which has a very poor prognosis and represents a major health and socioeconomic problem. Diagnosis: The main examination in the diagnosis of gastric cancer is endoscopy of the upper digestive.

Another examinations which are used in staging the disease are endosonography and CT scan. Other possibilities for a more detailed examination are MRI or PET / CT scan.

Treatment: Radical surgery is the only curative treatment option. The operation is always accompanied by a comprehensive cancer therapy, which may take place in various modifications.

Discussion: The stage of disease at the time of treatment significantly affects a patient's prognosis, so you need to actively seek initial stage of the disease in at-risk groups. Conclusion: Treatment of gastric cancer must be comprehensive and should be carried out in specialized centers.
