Abstrakt
The study pursues the dynastic politics of tsarina Elisabeth Petrovna, mostly the causes of her never marrying, also the reasons, why she chose her nephew, the Hostein-gottorp duke, as her successor. The study analyzes the influence of foreign politics on the dynastic politics, in detail the influence of the Russian-Swedish war and the War of Austrian succession.
The study also focuses on the choice of the successors new wife and proves that choosing the Anhalt-Zerbrt princess was a logical consequence of the dynastic politics of Elisabeth Petrovna.
