Abstract
The incidence of diabetes mellitus, particularly type 2 diabetes, currently increasing in virtually all developed countries. Therefore still ongoing global debate about how therapeutic approach to patients with DM2.
The aim of the publication of the ninth volume edition of Current diabetology is both emphasized that the most important factor influencing the long-term incidence of complications in diabetic patients is early diagnosis of diabetes and intensive treatment immediately after diagnosis, secondly, that without consistent, continuous and repetitive patient education that adapts its new and specific situations (health, personal, work, etc.) can not be achieved sustained satisfactory diabetes, which is a prerequisite delay other health complications.
