Abstract

If conjugated bilirubin comprises more than 20% of total bilirubin or acholic / hypocholic stool is present, or dark urine is present, it is necessary to send the infant to paediatric gastroenterologist to exclude biliary atresia or other causes of neonatal conjugated hyperbiliruminaemia.
