Abstract
The chapter of the book about prevailing trends, methods and topics in European contemporary history deals with a specific field of European historiography - history of medicine in the 20th century as a field of interdisciplinary research between contemporary history and history of medicine. Presentation of current trends and methods in contemporary history of medicine is based on detailed research in leading international, German, and British journals in the field (i. e. history of medicine).
