Abstrakt
The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of water, in terms of instrument of power politics. In this way, the perspective is connected with State’s potential analysis.
Focusing on the situation in Central Asia, particularly in Ferghana Valley, it is intended a problem-centered approach, under a pragmatic worldview, in which mixed methods are used. Whereas the theoretical framework matches with the realist paradigm of International Relations, one of the main ideas of the paper is to underline the potential for conflict in the area.
As a matter of fact, if the situation will not change dramatically, it is defended that could be the most likely scenario.
