Twin-arginine translocation pathway in Streptomyces lividans.

Abstract

Tat pathway, known to translocate folded proteins, was investigated in S. lividans. We proved its functionality by analysis of a tatC deletion mutant.

This mutation impaired the translocation of two TAT dependent proteins :tyrosinase and pre-TorA-23K.
