Selenium-zinc interaction and the antioxidative defense in mice

Abstrakt

In the experiments performed in male mice the prooxidative effect of toxic doses of selenium was demonstrated by enhanced lipid peroxidation (LP), decreased activity of GSH-Px and catalase estimated in liver homogenates of sodium selenite treated mice.
