Changes in inflammatory markers in induced sputum of patients with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma in relation to exposure to pollen season

Abstract

Eosinophilic inflammation in lower airways of patients with allergic rhinitis without asthma symptoms during the exposure to pollen allergens were detected. The parameters in induced sputum are altered also in mild asthma or even in asymptomatic patients.
