The effect of regional citrate anticoagulation (RCA) on thrombogenicity and biocompatibility during CVVHDF

Abstrakt

RCA can effectively inhibit the thrombogenic effect of the extracorporeal circuit but does not completely eliminate complement activation or transient leukopenia during CVVHDF. The heparin anticoagulation has similar effect but has systemic influence.
