Ventilator - associated pneumonia - a fatal complication of conservative treatment of severe thoracic injury

Abstract

The artificial pulmonary ventilation is one of the basal methods of intensive care. Bronchopneumonia (ventilator-associated pneumonia) is a common and serious complication of an injury of pulmonary parenchyma demanding the artificial pulmonary ventilation.
