The variability in the fungal ribosomal DNA (ITS1, and ITS2, and 5.8S rRNA gene): Its biological meaning and application in medical mycology

Abstrakt

The simple laboratory method for detection of inter- and intraspecies variability in rDNA is demonstrated on clinical isolates of fungi, its applications in clinical microbiology and environmental studies are discussed.
