Decompressive craniotomy - evaluation of outcome one year after trauma

Abstract

We evaluated outcome of 110 patients after brain trauma, and whom we treated using decompressive craniotomy. Prognosis was affected by: age (all patients above 60 years died), GCS on admission, pupil reactivity and dural split margins.
