Differential epinephrine and norepinephrine release from the sympathectomized rat heart compartments

Abstrakt

The study provides evidence of epinephrine signaling system independent of the sympathetic innervation in mammalian heart. Epinephrine release from non-neuronal sources might help to maintain cardiac functions in the absence of sympathetic innervation.
