Differentiated expression of the lactate dehydrogenase subunit M in pleural fluids of neoplastic aetiology

Abstrakt

Expression of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) subunit M was higher in pleural fluids associated with non-small-cell lung cancer and with pleura-invading tumours and lower in small-cell lung cancers which may reflect the host reaction in pleural space and anaerobic phenotype of cancer cells.
