Intraoperative neuromonitoring, neuroprotection and preventive carotid endarterectomy in patients with increased risk for development of cerebral ischemia indicated for cardiosurgery

Abstract

The study demonstrates that, peroperative electrophysiological neuromonitoring combined with neuroprotection eliminate cerebral ischemic complications in cardiac surgery that makes use of a cardiopulmonary bypass.
