Review of main causes, particularly Bell’s palsy, herpes zoster, Lyme borreliosis, posttraumatic lesions in petrous bone fracture and also otitis, surgery in middle ear, mastoidectomy and parotid gland. Current opinions in the treatment of Bell’s palsy.
