Detection of different types of hypersensitivity and their clinical relevance in children with atopic eczema

Abstract

We examined 34 children with atopic eczema using skin prick test, specific IgE, atopy patch test and basophil activation test to allergy to common aeroallergens. The allergy was present in a majority of subjects; atopy patch test had higher specificity compared to other tests.
