Abstract

During an archaeological excavation of a burial mound at Žuráň in 1948 to 1950 the chamber tomb II was explored. A female was buried in the tomb.

Paleoanthropological and palaeopathological analysis of her skeletal remauns showed a strange square puncture in the centre of the acetabulum of the left pelvic bone. The CT scan show that the proces of healing had just started.
