The Jewish community in Bratislava had to deal with the transformation of identity and changing the attitude of the members to the principles of traditional Judaism. In the years 2001-2013 was in fact 36.6% of the burials of members of the village by cremation, although orthodox Judaism condemns cremation.
After several years of discussions in 2005, the general meeting authorized the Jewish community from 1st january 2007 urns storage in the newly built complex neologist columbarium at the cemetery. This fact illustrates the marginalization of Orthodox identity after the Holocaust.
