Abstract
Chronic orchialgie (OA) appears to be an increasing problem in urological practice. It represents a heterogeneous group of patients in whom the etiology of pain differs.
The aim of the diagnostic process is to identify an unequivocal cause of the pain which may be subsequently influenced by an appropriate therapeutic treatment. When any possible causes of specific diseases including cancer are excluded we have to restrain the pain medically, or by denervation surgery.
An early multidisciplinary approach proves to be beneficial when pain is hardly suggestible.
