Abstract

A review payes attention to the importace of the diagnostic imaging in acute aortic syndromes concerning to the multidetector-row computed tomography and its impact on treatment decisions. The several CT techniques including CT with ECG synchronized acquisitions are discussed as well as the diagnostic findings of aortic dissection, intramural hematoma and penetrating aortic ulcer.
