Study concerning diplomatic offort of J.V.Sládek, the owner and editor of the most important belles-lettres magazine of the 2th half of the 19th century Lumír, especially his ambition to keep the high level of the magazine regardless the ideological dispute of the so-called writers of the older generation and the Modernists.
