Abstract

The Czech Johannes Amos Comenius (1592-1670) is the key figure in the beginnings of modern pedagogy. It is not only about learning for one's own sake but for that of humanity, he taught.

So that everyone is educated, he created in The Great Didactic, the model of the school system. Jana Pvrívratská and Vladimír Prvívratsk'y, professors at Charles University in Prague, explain here the modernity of this great thinker whose legacy will be celebrated this fall, on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the publication of his collection Opera Didactica omnia
