Abstract
Identification of CSL protein families in yeast was described. The characterization of these proteins in Schizosacchatomyces pombe revealed that CBF11 is a DNA binding protein and its gene knockout let to adhesion defects, accumulation of cells with double content of DNA.
We suggest, that CSL proteins in S. pombe are transcription factor regulating adhesion and DNA replication/nuclear division.
