The author deals with minuses of the Czech deposit compensation (protection) law and a possible inspiration in the British system of deposit’s compensation system in the article. Nowadays only bank deposits and financial means given to financial market brokers are protected in the Czech Republic.
The author finds the situation as unsatisfactory, at least for the reason that the obligatory pension assurance is being concerned recently by the Czech politicians. On the contrary all deposits received by subjects that the supervision is performed over are protected in the Great Britain (including pension and life assurance).
Only a scope of protection is different for every kind of deposits. Author speaks about the most important aspects of the British system and about its positives in the article.
