Abstract

Competing jurisdiction of international judicial and quasi-judicial bodies in human rights treaty instruments is not only possible but even unavoidable phenomenon resulting directly from the proliferation of relevant international bodies, such as committees and courts. Competing jurisdiction relates to the fact that most of the specialized bodies; old-ones as well as newly created are currently invited to settle individual complaints against States, e.g. regional courts for human rights and universal quasi-judicial committees formed on the basis of the universal international human rights treaties
