PAMAM Dendrimers Conjugated with an Uncharged Gadolinium(III) Chelate with a Fast Water Exchange: The Influence of Chelate Charge on Rotational Dynamics

Abstract

Conjugates between PAMAM G0-G4 dendrimers and the bifunctional DOTA derivative with a pyridine-N-oxide pendant arm were prepared. The gadolinium(III) complexes of the conjugates exhibit smaller relaxivities than expected due to a fast local motion of the complex moiety.
